Monday was an unusual t-shirt day. In the afternoon, I was at Mondo Tees (South Lamar) picking up a Bladrunner poster. I decide it was time to finally buy a Daniel Johnston designed Iron Man t-shirt. I noticed the store also added several new tees in regards to this summer's The Dark Knight.
After a long day, I got home late in the night to discovered a couple more t-shirts arrived. These tees are very special because they are Twitter themed. The online store is Eat. Sleep. Tweet. They relatively new. Things were a little shaky at first, but they managed to soldier on. It only took a little over a week for my order to come in. It's all good now.
Finally, it arrives. My "I'm a Mac" t-shirt from Insanely Great Tees. The color of the shirt is actually dark blue, not black.
Some spoilage, if you haven't seen season six of 24.
This past Sunday I was in Austin for the "24: Season Premiere - Night One" TV party at the Alamo Drafthouse Downtown. Two hundred people gathered together in a movie theater, eating real food and watching two hours of 24. Granted we didn't all know each other, but we were united as one. Since the theater was receiving the HD broadcast, it was being displayed in widescreen. It was all too damn cool.
Some the night's highlights include;
- When a beaten down Jack Bauer stepped off the plane, everyone was clapping to see their hero, once again
- President Wayne Palmer received a roaring applause
- People gasping, discovering that Buchanan and Hayes did hook up
- Cheers for Curtis and everybody's favorite female computer geek, Chole
- Everybody was howling when Jack went for dude's neck
Due to the suck as weather we are receiving in central Texas, I unfortunately couldn't attend Monday night's 24 TV party. That being said, the Alamo Drafthouse Village is gearing up for a full season of TV parties for 2007.
They will be showing the following up on the big screen;
- 24 (previous & new episode)
- Battlestar Galactica (previous & new episode)
- Heroes (mid-season premier)
- LOST (mid-season premier)
- Veronica Mars (mid-season premier and finale)
Now that Battlestar Galactica is on Sunday nights, I'm definitely making those TV parties. Since 24 and Heroes will be shown back to back, I'm gonna try to make to those as well. This year's TV watching should be a whole lot of fun.
Update: almost forgot to post this shot of my new favorite t-shirt.
