Yes, I still need to write about SXSW 2008. Yes, I'm still tired. That being said;

It's been a busy past week, especially these past two days. I had some much needed car maintenance performed. The Mustang is running smooth again.
This Friday, March 7th is Day 1 of South by Southwest. I am already low on sleep. Tomorrow morning when I get off of work I'll be racing home for a quick shower and power nap. Then head up to Austin to stand in line for three hours to pick up my SXSW Gold Badge. Unlike last year, this time around I'm only attend the Interactive and Film conference. There are a few free music day shows I want to hit. They are mainly local Austin artists.
Taking photos during SXSW is easy. Writing blog entries, well... last year I did try while SXSW was taking place.
South by Southwest 2007
Lou Reed: IMDB | iTunes | Last.fm | Official Site | Wikipedia
One of America's musical living legends has been confirmed for South By Southwest 2008. Singer, song writer, dare I say poet, Lou Reed will be the keynote speaker at next year's SXSW Music Conference.
But wouldn't you know, as fate would have it, I've already purchased my Gold Badge which is only for the Interactive Conference and Film Festival. I guess I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and now get a music badge.
Damn and it!
From time to time I still feel the pain of SXSW 2007. Well, the time is now for registering for South by Southwest 2008.
And yes, they raised the prices. Damn and it!
The plight of global warming has been attracting Americans' attention more and more. Austin TX is one the few cities calling for change on how we live our lives. It started earlier this year at South by Southwest when the conference announced it was going carbon neutral. Next, here is a gallery of photos featured in a CNET news story this week, "Austin builds on green concepts". And coming up next month is a special event at the Alamo Drafthouse Downtown, Mayor WILL WYNN Live: Austin Climate Presentation.
Let's go America, get off your ass!
That is of course if some Americans could pull their head out of their asses.
A sort of second birthday present for me arrived in the mail. Some night during South by Southwest 2006, I was denied and pissed off at not being able to see Clap Your Hands Say Yeah. The line to see them was such a problem, Austin PD was brought over to disperse the people. Their show quickly turned into "badges only". All will be set right, come next Saturday night at Stubb's in Austin, TX.

- With all due respect, it's been a couple of weeks now and I don't what was talked about.
04:15PM Them (Alamo Lamar 2) Recommened
- It's a French horror flick with the problem of presenting the conflict early on but not really giving a good reason as to way it's happening to this couple living in the country.
07:30PM Cashback (Dobie) Highly Recommened
- Thank god the British are not afraid of full nudity. I'm talking front to back and from underneath. That all being said, please do not shy away from this very well made film. I feel I might have already scared you away. Please have a read of the film's sysnopsis.
When art student Ben Willis is dumped by his girlfriend Suzy, he develops insomnia. To pass the long hours of the night, he starts working the late night shift at the local supermarket. There he meets a colorful cast of characters, all of whom have their own 'art' in dealing with the boredom of an eight-hour-shift. Ben's art is that he imagines himself stopping time. This way, he can appreciate the artistic beauty of the frozen world and the people inside it - especially Sharon, the quiet checkout girl, who perhaps holds the answer to solving the problem of Ben's insomnia.
