What's Brightkite?

Brightkite is a location-based social network. In real time you can see where your friends are and what they're up to. Depending on your privacy settings you can also meet others nearby.

You can also use Brightkite to add a note (sort of like Twitter) and a photo. The photo below was taken using within the Brightkite app and I also added a note. Here's what it looks like via Brightkite.

Magnolia Cafe: Short stack of buttermilk pancakes and a side of bacon.

Magnolia Pancake Haus: The Magnolia Breakfast plus a couple pieces of French toast. The short stack of pancakes are off camera to the right. That there below is the meal I had during a gathering of friends this past Sunday morning. The Breakfast Fest photo set.

Magnolia Cafe: Royal Toast - four triangles of French Toast, two eggs and bacon.

Smitty's Market: Two hot links, a quarter of fat brisket and crackers.

Las Palmas Café: Huevos Rancheros with sausage.

Güero´s Taco Bar: Burrito Especial - a large flour tortilla wrapped around beans, cheese and beef, served on a bed of rice and topped with chili con queso and red sauce.

Last night I attend a screening of Cool Hand Luke (1967) at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema. For those who don't know, at one point in the film Paul Newman (Luke) boasts he can eat fifty eggs within one hour. During this sequence the Alamo staff handed out complementary hard boiled eggs. I decided to pass on these as I prefer my eggs scrambled.
