With Torchwood coming to a season's end, the Doctor's return is a much welcomed one. Lest we forget, we just started the final season of Battlestar Galactic. And if you need more genre television don't forget about Blood Ties.
Here's a video teaser for an all new season of Doctor Who.

If you are currently suffering from the Sci Fi Channel's Flash Gordon, never fear Torchwood is here. Having already watched the 35 minute preview on BBC American On Demand, I can safely say, I love this series.
Here's a video podcast with actor John Barrowman describing what is Torchwood and who is Captain Jack. This is part one of seven podcast episodes. The next episodes will be released as the TV series airs.
The complete series has already been seen outside of America. If you start doing any searching for additional information or come across fan websites, you'll no doubt spoil it, for yourself.
Torchwood is led by the enigmatic, ever-watchful Captain Jack Harkness (John Barrowman - Doctor Who), uses scavenged alien technology to solve present day crime - both alien and human. They’re separate from the government, working outside the police and beyond the United Nations.
From an underground base built on a rift in time and space, Torchwood sets its own rules, delving into the unknown and fighting the impossible whether it is responding to an alien threat, sightings of extra-terrestrial technology, an unusual autopsy report, or the spread of a deadly alien virus.
Part X-Files, part Angel, Torchwood is the team we’d all love to be part of, where excitement comes before morality and the rules are made as you go along.
Torchwood premieres Saturday, September 8th at 9pm EST / 8pm CST.

What were your top 5 TV shows of 2006?
- Arrested Development - An Emmy award winning comedy series with balls. Almost perfect, all the way around, from top to bottom. It will never happen again. Fuck you FOX.
- The Office (America) - The first couple episode from season one were tough to watch. I loved the British version way too much and walked away. I reluctantly came back and quickly realized I should have never left.
- Battlestar Galactica - I remember talking with Richard Hatch after the pseudo mini series/pilot episode aired and told him how much I hated what Ronald Moore changed and the show in general. Richard was agreeing with me all the way. But after the start of season one, we have both come to terms and have let go of the past.
- Doctor Who - OMG!!! Somebody figured out how to bring back one of the greatest sci-fi TV series of all time. Leave it to the Brits to do it right. I am not complaining about the current Doctor played by David Tennant, but for me, Christopher Eccleston very well may be the best Doctor of them all.
- Heroes - Heroes is how you create a TV series. Heroes is how you develop characters. Heroes is how you move plot. Heroes is how you ask questions and provide answers. Heroes is getting the job done. Fuck you LOST. Fuck you J.J. Abrams.
What a crap day it is. I was going to drive up to Austin to see the TXRD Lonestar Rollergirls. However, when I walked out of work Sunday morning, it was all wet and lightly drizzling. The drive home was only reminding that I would be driving in this stuff later on in the day. I got home and checked the weather online. Hmm, Austin live doppler radars really weren't showing any rain fall. I turn on the Weather Channel. Their radar did show a small amount of scattered rain fall across central Texas with it moving north, towards Austin. Hmm, maybe by the time I woke up, it wouldn't be so bad. I made my rounds on the Internet, mainly checking out music blogs. I also wolfed down some left over taco meat and spicy beans. This would come back to haunt me. I get out my camera, formated the memory card and threw the battery into the charger. I'm really starting to look forward to Sunday night. I shower, set the alarms and then jump into bed.
At some point I'm suddenly awaken to some flaming throw up in my mouth. I mean this stuff has me leaping out of bed. It feels like lava has been poured down my throat. Thankfully, I keep a bottle of water in the room at all times. I guzzle down a few swigs and put the fire out. I take a look at the clocks and notice it's still a hour or so 'til I was gonna get up. After calming down, I decide I'm not going to Austin. With the weather and now this, I feeling crappy again. Oh well, I can just go ahead and catch up on some much needed sleep instead.
After another five hours of so, I finally force myself out of bed. Ow! My neck is killing me. I mean, the pain is all around my neck. I've been giving my neck a few small snaps, but the soreness is still there. I take in some much need food, watch the Cowboys give it away to the Saints. I watch this past Friday's Doctor Who and move onto doing some laundry and then here I am now, typing this all out.
It's time to start planing my Monday to look like a fun day.
